Humax has recently come up with the FOXSAT-HD digital set-top box that will allow TV viewers in the UK to watch subscription free high-definition content via the new Freesat digital TV service.

Good overview of how the new Free Sat system works and how it could be useful as a replacement for Sky and Virgin for those on a budget. Also a high level of HDTV content via BBC HD and ITV HD.
