Humax HDR-1000S FreeTime Released

A very exciting launch indeed – Humax have finally got their new Freesat box out of the door.

It’s been a long time coming though with the Foxsat HDR serving us very well indeed for the last 2-3 years.

So has much changed in the meantime?

Heck yes!

But then we’ve changed more than anything. Users now want more than just a recorder – we now want a box that does that whole iPlayer and catch up programming thing. And we want it to be done properly, so it’s easy.

Until now, you’ve been watching iPlayer on your laptop. Or fiddling around with obscure media boxes of one type or another.

Well that stops right now.

The Humax HDR-1000S is here, and with integrated FreeTime too.

And that means some very exciting things around catch up services.

It’s basically YouView for Freesat.

But that’s not all that’s better about this box. The interface has been completely overhauled. It’s got a funky curvy new design…

Heck, it’s looking like the best box we’ve seen yet.

In fact, go read our Humax HDR-1000S review – but I won’t apologise for you desperately wanting one about 5 minutes from now…
