Vintage TV Coming To Freesat

Launching 1 September on Sky and Freesat, the new channel is aimed at the 21 million viewers in the UK aged 50+. But this is not a channel for those old before their time. Vintage TV is for the groovy grey, and is heavily music orientated.

A typical day will include live shows from the Montreux Festival, and concerts such as Nat King Cole or The Doors with clips from that classic, The Old Grey Whistle Test, and The White Room. The afternoon will be music videos with the evening peppered with shows like When I Was Young, Paul Gambaccini’s new rock legend interview series.

Vintage TV say there will be plenty of new programming, with well known faces such as Kim Wilde, Rick Wakeman, Tony Blackburn and Simon Napier-Bell.

Interest and anticipation are riding high, as this seems to be the first channel to actually dedicate itself to what is actually one of the largest sectors of the TV viewing public.
